We started the trip on Saturday morning in South Station, Boston. Our bus was leaving at 10 but Jude insisted on being there at 7 so we could get the front seat of the bus. Wha? His mad logic was; 'Look Marguerite, a 4 hour bus journey is so much nicer when you have a great view out the front windy like, and lots of leg room, trust me on this mate.' Yet Marguerite, like most normal folks, would have been content to get there at 9.45, take her chances, and hope for the best like, rather than camp out all morning just to get the front seat. Anyway the front seat was secured, but because it rained the whole way to New York we couldn't see 50 yards in front of us...Doh!!!
We were met in the New York rain by Lynn and Lori and were whisked away to Lori and Scott's for tea, a chinese, beer and plenty of craic. Below are Lynn's girls Maddy (aged 8) and Jackie (aged 2) who both won this Easter's smiliest faces prizes at Lori's on Saturday night.
'Hey this is how Bob Dylan and Steven Tyler play it.' Jackie teaches Marguerite how to play the harmonica.
We all went to Mass on Easter Sunday morning before making our way back to Lori and Scott's for breakfast. For the pic below it took Lisa so long to press the button that poor auld Thomas dozed off to sleep.
This time (below) it was Lori taking the pic and she as so excited about the Easter Egg hunt that she couldn't stop shaking like a leaf. She managed to take this wobbly pic of Marguerite, Lisa and Jude.
Below Lynn and Marguerite catch up. They first met when Lynn stayed with Jude during her trip to Ireland in 2000. They were heard laughing about Jude's old Ford Fiesta but really they were laughing at Jude for any number of reasons. In this pic they also try to disguise their disappointment at not finding any of the eggs in the Scavenger Hunt.
Here Lynn and Marguerite are joined by Lisa on the left and Lori on the right. Sure they are just like Charlies Angels!!! All 4 of them.

Hey Jude, I'm over here man, hey....over here, this is me behind the basket with all the eggs in it, I'm wearing my lovely new Easter hat. Do you see me? Heyyyy Ovvvver here!!!!!
Below are, left to right: Lori's husband Scott, Lynn's husband Dave, Jude and Jimmy (Lisa, Lynn & Lori's Dad).

Here is Marguerite with James (Lori and Scott's wee boy). James won the prize for having the world's most spectacular facial expressions. Whatever was going on in James' world could be quite easily understood from just one look at him.
Maddy was fascinated by the fact that Jude and Marguerite have a fairy tree in their back garden at home. Marguerite and Jude were just fascinated to meet Maddy for the first time.

Lisa unfortunately fell and broke her leg in late Feb, hence the reason for the strapping you see in the pic below. Here she is with Scott chatting about the best place for Scott to park his decking when he gets it.
Scott and Jude were debating who was the best Baseball team, the New York Yankees or the Boston Red Sox. Reluctantly, Scott eventually saw sense and admitted that the Yankees were just not in the same class as the Red Sox. But Scott being the loyal guy that he is, he swore to support the yankees for ever, and ever, and ever, and ever and.................
After breakfast at Lori and Scott's we made our way over to Lynn and Dave's where we spent the rest of the day. Ah sure the craic was great. By far the best tale told was by Kevin (Dave's brother) who covered the story of the plane crash involving the rock group Lynard Skynrd. For those who don't know, the plane crashed into a jungle and one of the of Lynard Skynrd members who survived the crash, while seriously injured and dehydrated, then survived making his way past aligators, crocodiles, snakes etc, before stumbling out of the jungle onto some guy's land waving his arms for help. Unfortunately he was mistaken as a trespasser by the landowner and duely shot on the spot. This was extremely funny at the time folks trust me. Maybe it was the way Kevin told the tale but it still brings a laugh now just thinking about it.

Lynn has invited us down to her house for 'Thanksgiving' in November. For folks at home, 'Thanksgiving' is a public holiday in the US when families get together to eat, drink and catch up. Come to think of it, I think we might just have invited ourselves! Who cares, we're going anyway.

Aha, here's that dude James again. This time he is raring to go on these rolly boot thingys he has on. If James fell once............well let's just say he fell a few times. Lori has invited us to Dumont day (live bands etc in a park across her street), hey wait, I think we might have invited ourselves to that one too! Well, we're going anyway.

Here's Thomas with his eyes open this time. Maddy and Thomas are twins but rather than have one birthday celebration, their mum Lynn devised a cunning trick this year by having their birthday celebrations on separate days. I reckon Lynn has things sussed, as that's simply a class idea.
'Broken leg, me! Yeah, well who cares........I'm chillin and I'm having so much fun here today with all these daft edjits I just don't care.' Lisa was having so much fun she kept Marguerite up to nearly 4 am chatting. Jude would have been up till that time but Marguerite sent him to bed at 3.30 because he was seriously talking like a washing machine. Like real bad.

All good things come to an end folks. This Easter weekend was perfect with lots of craic. Here is Jude sitting in the 'Tick Tock' diner in New York city, rehydrayting himself with about 14 cups of tea.

Marguerite is seen here exciting the diner and making a dash for the coach. I wonder why? Anyway, the other dude in the pic is saying, 'what u want from me?'

Aha, what's this? Look closely there gang. Who's that peeking round the corner? It's Marguerite, and she proving here that she's a quick learner as she hogs the front seat of the auld bus like nobodies business, while all these other unfortunates have to make do with the shitty seats and having their knees hitting their chins for 4 hours. Hehehehe.
...........and guess what? The sun shone all the way home!
