Ben chilling out in Springtime

This is a collection of pics of Ben's last few days in America. The final post will arrive in a few days but for now this is just Ben on his own.

He does not understand the huge adjustment that is about to happen in his life, and he didn't really need to worry about much ....... he left that to his Mama and Dada.

Ben is figuring things out for himself these days, for example when looking at his feet he may be thinking ...... 'what are these things for?

Ahhhhh another great bath pic ........ sure these are great ........ he loves thon bath that wee lad, loves it!

Ben also loves being told tales by his Mama and Dada, he'll listen to any auld nonsense and usually smile along.

'Pick us a winner!

Ben is now seven months old and it sure is an exciting time, like with how he's been figuring things out for himself and all.  Right around now he discovered that his finger fitted perfectly up his nose!

He has also been figuring out getting around these days.  Five minutes before this pic was taken Jude had left Ben down in the middle of the play mat there.  Sure Ben wriggled (he can't crawl yet so it was definitely a wriggle) all the way to here.  Busy times ahead!!!

'Who me?  When?  Where? What?

'Nope .... it wasn't me....... definitelt not me ... must have been Mama!

In Ben's final month in Brookline he had the pleasure of scooting around the apartment in this do-ans.  It was a bouncy, seat-with-toys-on-yoke ...... very nifty it was too.  For fear of Ben missing out Marguerite and Jude had bought it for him 5 weeks before they were due to go home and then sold it about 5 days before they did go home.  Ben got 4 weeks great use out of it and that's all that matters.

Here is Ben rocking his Man Utd outfit .....

........ and again.

This time he's all smiles while out for dinner at the local Thai restaurant with his Mama.

'Mama, let me have a wee sip of your Sprite Zero please', is what Ben may have been thinking.

Ben takes a few (well supported) steps.

Now he's down on Boston common watching his Dada play softball one sunny Friday afternoon in May.  Sure what else would you be doing?

Ben watches the softball while his Mama rocks her new sunglasses.

'I may as well soak up this sun now ........ apparently I'm going somewhere soon where there is a lot less sunshine, a tad more wind and a touch more rain - but hey .... my family are all there and apparently the food's great, so that's good', Ben may have been thinking at this stage.

A few days later and here is Ben sitting with his Mama and Dada on the steps of President JFK's former home in Brookline.

Here he is with his Mama sitting on JFK's old porch.

And the sitting with his auld Dada on the same spot.

Jude loves this pic of Ben.

Always smiling, always with a ball and always (when Jude dresses him at least) with his socks tucked over the legs of his breeks.  Cool. Wha?

A common scene around Brookline in the Spring of 2013.

Ben chilling out in Springtime.  He loved Brookline and very soon he would find he loves Belfast too.
