Christmas 2018

It's Christmas 2018 and December has already seen many, many Christmas activities.  Starting things off for this post is this nice pic of Marguerite, Ben and Jude at the Grand Opera House as they went to see the Pantomime Jack and The Beanstalk.









It's the Friday before Christmas soMarguerite and Jude both took a half day today ..... and as Ben finished school on a half day too .....














.......... well it was a great fun way to kick-start the holidays.













Rewind to 01st December  and Ben got his first ever Advent Calender. 

This was no ordinary calender though ..... it was special ...... it had a little Star Wars Lego toy in every day, from 01st December all the way through to Christmas Day.   Happy Christmas indeed!!!















Also in the lead up to Christmas was Ben's school play where he had a starring role as the Christmas child.  This was great fun and Ben really had a laugh .... as you can see here. 









Also in December - Ben got to perform at his Music School's Christmas concert.   At six years old it really was great to see him get up in front of a packed room and play all on his own.  Well done Ben.

And on the pre-Christmas visits to shopping centres Ben was able to enjoy himself in many ways ...... like here as he is riding Santa's Sleigh!!!!


















Every year this little family gets this pic done ......... this is the 7th and every one is special and a treasure.

This one has a classic feel to it ...... old school even!!

Now it's Christmas Eve.

It's all action at Emma's house as the kids get really excited. 

Ben and Adam get tucked into opening presents as Rebecca watches on. Ben has just opened his gift which was the Anakin Skywalker Lego Space ship and the Pirate Ship for the bath. 

Later on Christmas Eve and Ben is busy building the Lego space ship.

And then it was bed time for Ben!

Santa arrived sometime throughout the night and left lots of toys.  And along with what Marguerite and Jude bought Ben ...... well it was all sure to delight Ben when he would get up the next day. 











And waiting for Ben down in the living room was this cool space scooter!!! 

When Ben got up on Christmas morning he was delighted at all the gifts left out for him. 

The first thing he opened was his Kidizoom camera .......














......... and then he opened his Luke Skywalker X-Wing Starfighter.   

Down in the main living room Marguerite opened her gifts. 

Around lunchtime Ben's Granda Crossan arrived.  Here's Ben showing him how his new remote control car works.












'Happy Christmas Daddy', said Marguerite as she poured him a drink. 













'Hohohoho', said uncle Fra.

It may be Christmas Day but that didn't stop Jude from being a good host ...... here he is working away at the sink!!












The party is in full flow and Rebecca is in the middle of it all.













Ben and his uncle Kevin are like Carl Frampton and Rocky Balboa as they square up here to test out Kevin's new gloves and Ben's no-so-new gloves.











'Pooww ........... take that', said Ben as he landed a powerful left hook on Kevin.













Adam has a go too ...... and Rebecca has a laugh.   













It was a great night's craic.  Everything Kevin had Ben had something to match.  So when Kevin out on his new blond wig ...... Ben ran and got his big curly wig.

Christmas is such a special time and Christmas 2018 was particularly great as Ben was right in the zone this year (6 years old).
