Celebrations & Jubilations!!

Celebrations - On Saturday morning Ryan and Jude made their now customary pilgimage to Champions to watch the football. This time it was a 7.30am start to see Utd win the league by drawing with Arsenal so they had to wait until later to properly celebrate. The pic on the left shows Jude keeping a straight face as he explains to Ryan and Lisa Marie just how long it is since Liverpool won the league. Ryan and Lisa Marie thought that Jude was having a joke when he said it was 1990, they told him to wise up, like it couldn't be that long, but as you can see he was real serious.

Here Ryan and Jude continue their celebrations at our new local 'Crossroads'. Sure you have to celebrate these wins otherwise it would be no point trying to win at all.

We were also celebrating the successful end to this year's first Wider Horizons Program at the Irish Immigration Center, which is of course Jude's work. Below Marguerite is chatting with Ciaran who is the program supervisor. Ciaran is from Downpatrick and went to the same school as Jude.

Oh no, has Ciaran spotted a grey in Lisa Marie's hair, has a bird dropped one there or is Ciaran just inspecting the back of her hairdo like Harry did a few weeks back?

Here Marguerite, Christina and Ann Marie see the funny side of an after dinner tissue. Little amuses the innocent. Christina and Ann Marie both work with Jude.

Jude and Marguerite thought they were going to a 'Pink' concert tonight. Or was it Psychedelic Furs? Anyway they were very eh.......................well Marguerite was certainly 'Pretty in Pink' anyway.

Ciaran is seen here looking around for his sanity, he lost it some time ago and as you can see the rest of us have given up looking.

Jubilations - On Tuesday night we had the presentation night for the Wider Horizons Program when all the kids received their certificates. It brought to a close a very successful group on a very satisfying and valuable project. The pic below left is all the staff who worked on the program, left to right: Ann Marie (from Longford), Robert (from Limerick), Ciaran (from Downpatrick), Rachel (from Newry), Jude (from Ballygalget) and Peggy (from Boston). Below right is the group who took part in the program. They all hail from the Mourne, Newry and Dundalk areas.

Left is Michael Campbell at the presentation night with Jude, Robert and Ciaran. We reckon Michael didn't want to go home.

All these celebrations took their toll on poor wee Marguerite. Here she takes a moment to herself as she relaxes on a funky chair at North Eastern University. We have been going there to use their public access computers while our own computer is getting fixed (sorry anyone who has been trying to get us on Skype - but hopefully it will be fixed next week).
