Where everybody knows your name - Part 1

Marguerite's sister Emma and her boyfriend David (Dee)arrived over for a holiday which was certainly action packed. Here is everyone heading off Kayaking on the Charles River.












Hey take a look at this folks. At the bottom of this pic to the left is the nose of Jude & David's Kayak. Now way down there on the horizon is a big bridge and if you look carefully you'll see Emma & Marguerite's Kayak very, very close to the bridge. This was the start of a race to the bridge with Emma and Marguerite being given a very, very generous start. Who do you think won the race? Surely it was Emma and Marguerite. Surely they could not lose from there, with such a big start. Wha? I mean they are virtually underneath the bridge!!!!

Emma sees the funny side of the matter.

Meanwhile David (Dee) says he is an auld hand at this lark as he used to do it on the lagan in Belfast with his da like. He reckons if it had not been for his DJ decks, Mars Bars and Coca Cola he could have been as good as Steve Redgrave! Wha?



Here is everyone during a stroll through the grounds of Harvard University. This famous university is situated in the beautiful Cambridge area of Boston and is really beautiful.

On a vist to the Seal tank at the New England Aqarium Emma tries to hug the big fat seal while Marguerite tries to talk to one by saying, 'here chooky chooky, here chooky'. Wha? Folks you couldn't make it up.

Soon enough and we are off to ride the Codzilla which is a high speed boat which does all these mad 'hand-brake' turns and stuff. Pretty cool!














Unfortunately the Codzilla took on a life of it's own and did one of those 'hand-brake' turns when it was not meant to, and then it seized up completely. It was not quite as dramatic as thon film....eh what's it's name......eh Titanic like, but it certainly was a case of ship to shore, abandon ship and get yer refunds before the blighters could change their minds.







David momentarily thinks he's riding in the Grand National. Giddie up there lad!


David wanted a pic outside Cheers so he could show his Mum. Ah!!!! Getting this pic was an adventure as we just missed being wrote off by the fast approaching traffic on Beacon St. Here Dee is at that place 'where everybody knows your name'.


Here David, Emma and Marguerite make their way back from the Build-a-Bear shop where apparently Dee Jnr and Ruby were born today. Wha? Keep me outta this, I'm just the reporter. Check out Ruby there being held by Emma. Em.....Rare looking, I think you'll agree.







David chills out in the apartment........


......as does Emma as the first part of their holiday takes it toll on them. These young uns, they just can't cope!





Max did not take long to tell David's 'Dee Jnr' and Emma's 'Ruby' just who was boss around these parts. He told them he takes no nonsense from goofy girly cheerleaders or fat 'Big Baby' Celtics fans. Here he sports his new Red Sox hat! Cool!









The less said about poor David's visit to the pool room the better. He thought we was onto a winner when he challenged Jude to a few games. But no-one wants to turn him away from the game altogether or leave him disillusioned about the sport, so we'll not mention the score in the match. Let's just say.......nah folks we'll say naahin, it just would not be fair on the lad, I say it wouldn't be fair.





Emma and David went to a Red Sox game for the first time along with Jude, Marguerite and Lindsay.









Sure the craic's great as everyone enjoys the game.


Here we managed to capture the pic of David's name on the scoreboard alongside that pic of star player David Ortiz. Forget Cheers, now David really was in the place 'where everybody knows your name' (well 40,000 did anyway).
