Valentine's Day 2010

Valentine's Day this year fell on a weekend so that meant it had to blend in with a ski trip. Marguerite had thought she was not getting a Valentine's Card as Jude let on he did not get her one. However she was presented with this super wee Snoopy number on the ski lift at Wachusett.

Jude being a bit of a melter had written a wee poem inside the card as an added bonus. Wha? Here Marguerite reads the poem while struggling to control her emotions - and her ski poles. Happy Valentine's Day!

Jude 'Bode Miller' Clarke about to begin another downhill run.

'Hey Jude It's chilly, wha?'

Valentine's Day was the first time that Marguerite and Jude had did some night skiing. This was a whole new experience and hopefully the first of many as it was great. Jude kept his sunglasses on the whole time mind you, aye dead on!

Only in America folks, I say only in America do you get offers like this one. Aye dead on - sweetheart deals, catch yer self on big lad. What a lot of balls!
This week's trip to Wachusett was an 'overnighter' however. This had nothing to do with Valentine's Day but rather to allow for the option of night skiing and then another visit the next day as the slopes were just down the road.

The Wachusett Village Inn was the stay of choice. It was a nice enough wee spot too if you can get past the sweetheart deal nonsense.

Marguerite leaving the hotel with her shopping bag the next day, wha?

'You lookin' at me!!!!!!!!!!!' A cunning plan hatched after a couple of days at the slopes - rather than going up as a couple, it quickly became apparent that joining the singles line at the queues meant you could go up the mountain quicker. It just meant travelling up with folk ya didn't know, yee haa. Here Marguerite was missing Jude even though he was only in the next car - blend in woman, chat to them - they'll hardly bit ya!

Cool.......just one word required folks.......cool.

'Look Marguerite if ya lean down like this ya go faster, honest it works.'

'but it's a looooooonnnnnnnng way down, will I make it in one piece?'

After taking Jude's advice, and flying down the mountain like something possessed, Marguerite came a cropper. Oh yes, this was a big time crash with skis, poles, legs, hats, everything flying in all directions. Happy Valentine's Day to one and all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
