It's Patriot's Day in America and that means a day off for hard workers such as Marguerite and Jude. So there's no better way of spending a nice day off than heading to Fenway Park for a game. Here is Marguerite outside the stadium.
Moments earlier Marguerite had made her way to the ground on the 'T'.
The waving silhouette is Marguerite.
The baseball season only started last week and already this is Jude's 3rd game, he's mad for it!!!
On Patriot's Day they always unfurl a huge Stars and Stripes flag, it was huuuge!
Marguerite takes a stroll in Fenway Park.
After being to a 15-9 loss and a 13-5 win in the last week you may have thought that this game would also be high scoring. Well that's why Jude took Marguerite to the game. 'It's bound to be a good game with loads of runs', said Jude. But it was not, in fact it finished 1-0 to the Tampa Bay Rays and the run was scored off a walk when the bases were loaded. This was possibly the worst game Jude had seen yet.
'1-0 defeat or not Jude, we'll always support the Red Sox', said Marguerite.

The game was followed up with a trip to Basho for tea.

A few days earlier and Robert and Jude went to see the Boston Red Sox play the Tampa Bay Rays. Here is Robert after having just made his way into Fenway Park.

Clay Buckholz is a great pitcher, today he was on the mound.

Rob and Jude blend in perfectly well with the colours on this wall mural.

It was Jude and Robert's first time in the left field stand and the view was spectacular indeed.

Every club has a player who is the heart and soul of the place, the person you would least like to see leave, the one who tries the hardest and plays the best consistently. In Boston that player is second baseman Dustin Pedroia.

'Big Papi' David Ortiz is also a top player. He is a left handed batter and a very good one too. He likes to slam them down past the Pesky Pole in right field.

A trip to Fenway Park always involves smuggling in some swall. Here is Robert's Vodka and Coke.

Today's game ended in a very nice 13-5 win for the Red Sox.

After the game Jude and Rob scooted over to Jillian's to play some pool.

And they were soon joined by Rob's girlfriend, Lindsey.

Rob takes aim.

Patriot's Day always coincides with the Boston Marathon. Here you can see a huge pile of paper cups used by the marathon runners as they ran past Marguerite and Jude's place in Brookline.

And there are the culprits themselves. Today's marathon was a bit of a disaster really. It was too warm!!! You see these punters train all winter for the race in the expectation that in early April it will still be cool temperature wise. Not today though as the temperatures broke records and hit 90f. Not bad for the beginning of April.
Here they are as they pass a Green Line trolley at St Paul Street.

Also this weekend it was the official anniversary of the opening of Fenway Park. It opened on the same day the Titanic sunk!!! So there was a special 'Open Day' where fans could walk around the stadium and have open access to everywhere they liked and to view all the exhibits.....

......... such as this football that was used in the game in 2010 between Glasgow Celtic and Sporting Lisbon which Marguerite and Jude were at.

....... or this 1915 World Series Championship winning medal.....

..... or this ball signed by the famous Babe Ruth .....

..... or this guitar (signed by the band) which was used in an Aerosmith concert in the stadium ......

...... or the Ted Williams seat. This seat marks the spot that Ted Williams hit the longest home run in Fenway park's history .....

....... or this special ball. This was the very first ball ever pitch in Fenway Park on Saturday April 20th 1912 in agame between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Highlanders (later Yankees).

Wow! That was one busy Patriots Day weekend. After all the baseball activities Jude takes a well earned rest.
