Here is the traditional family pic with Santa.
A couple of days before Christmas and Jude, Marguerite and Ben are fooling around with the camera and setting the timer to take their pic.
These types of pics are always fun ....... especially if you pull some funny looking faces. 
Like I said before ...... Ben was really excited this year and spent a lot of the time in those days prior to Christmas peeking around and poking in things. Just like this.
The sign says, 'No Peeking' ........
.......... but Ben kind of ignores that advice. 
Ben has made his very own Santa's sleigh with Ruddolph, the rocking chair and the snooker table as the back.
It's was quite a sleigh actually because as you can see it packed an awful lot of presents on there. Hohohohoo.
It's Christmas Eve and Marguerite, Jude and Ben are on their usual run of visiting. They had already been to Uncle Jim and Aunt Mairead's and were now in Emma's ....... before heading to Lilly Johnston's for a beer with friends. Marguerite and Ben were quick to get into opening some presents.
Meanwhile Rebecca was wondering what all the fuss was about.
Emma had made some great little Christmas packs for the kids which they loved.
Adam couldn't wait to get this present opened.

Then it was kisses all round for Emma from Adam and Ben.
Before a quick run around the Christmas tree for the two boys. 
After an hour in Lilly Johnston's they were back home. So it was Christmas Eve and the excitement was building. The next challenge was to get Ben to bed so he would be asleep before Santa would arrive. Well in that little package that Emma had got Ben earlier she included a book which told the a great little story about Christmas Eve and how the kids all need to be in bed early. It was called .......
........ 'Santa's Sleigh is on its way to Belfast' ....... though for tonight that last word was changed to be Glenavy. It worked a treat and as soon as it was read Ben wanted to be taken to bed immediately.
About 10 minutes later he was asleep.
Then some time through the night Santa Claus himself snook down the chimney and laid out lots of gifts for Ben.
The scene was just amazing ....... there were toys everywhere.A couple of years back Ben got his drumkit for Christmas and as you can see the musical theme has continued with the cool looking Blue Guitar there ........
Ben was thrilled to get up on Christmas morning and get into his room to see all his gifts. The first thing he grabbed was his new Man Utd away top.
And he quickly got to grips with his cool new Football table.
Ben loved his guitar from the minute he saw it. He tries to play it a lot but of course he needs lessons. That will follow later. 
The guitar was not the only musical instrument he got this year ........ check him out here trying out his new keyboard for the first time. 
Within minutes Ben had his cool new Spiderman outfit on. 
Then everyone moved down to the main living room to open gifts. 
Ben couldn't wait to get ripping the wrapping paper off them. 
He even helped Marguerite open her gifts.
After Mass Marguerite, Jude and Ben went back home as they were hosting Christmas dinner. Before long everyone was arriving. Here is Rebecca sitting all ready for some fun and games.

When Michael arrived he couldn't wait to give it a go.

There was a full box of crackers and they opened them all.

The party hats are on, the wine and Champagne are open and it's dinner time.

Ben has just finished his dinner and is chilling out at the table. Happy Christmas son.
After dinner it was 'Secret Santa' time. This is always good craic with the family opening their 'secret' gifts. Marguerite had made a nice Gin cocktail for the occasion and by this stage it was going down really well indeed.

The suspense is always funny as folk open the wrapping paper to see what they got. Now it was Michael's turn. 
Patrick and Rhiannon were enjoying the day along with Ben and Adam.
Chocolate is being opened Kevin ..... all hands are in to get some.
Kids love boxes ........ here are Ben and Adam in their new 'boat'. Jude took Ben to bed at 10.30pm and when doing so he fell asleep too ...... all the way through to the next morning.
On Boxing Day Ben got much welcomed free time to play with his toys. First up was this Ty Story jigsaw puzzle. Ben loves Jigsaw puzzles! 
And before long it was completed.
Even on Boxing Day there were still a couple of presents to be opened. Ben did the opening of course. 
And then it was time for Connect 4 .......
......... and Domino Rally!!

Today they were at Down Royal and they were well wrapped up as it was so cold.
Ben sinks a put and he's the winner!!!Merry Christmas!!!
