1st Sat in Boston - Sat 07th Feb

The guy with Marguerite is a window cleaner we got talking to on our street. He told us he that about 27 years ago he got sick of working shitty jobs and being told what so he became a windoe cleaner. He had just heard our accent and started talking to us. Jude asked him what height he was and he told us he was 7 Feet tall. So then Jude told him he would make a bloody good basketball player and he replied, 'you're right, I might take that up someday'.

Here we are in Boston Common (kinda like Falls Park but without the swall, nack nacks and 12 year olds riding quads). Marguerite hit Jude right on the left lug with that there snowball she's holding.
Here Jude is pulling some John Travolta moves on snow, thinks he cool that boy ya know!

The photo below of us is in Boston Common and sure its really sweet isnt it folks. jude made the mistake of going out one day with only 4 layers on so as you can see here now that he has 5 layers on he looks like Mr Blooby.

Marguerite would not let the photo of her taken outside 'Cheers' to be uploaded onto the blog (her hair was out of place or something daft like that) so unfortunately you just get Jude's.

Marguerite's hair certainly was not out of place in this snap as she was doing what she does best -shop! In fact if they introduce shopping as an olympic sport for London 2012 then perhaps we have an athelete in our midst folks because Marguerite would certainly win gold. Marguerite says Jude would win the gold for 'windy shaappin'. Can someone translate that for me please? Kerry, Charlene x 2, Sinead, Erica, Galye, Marie, Francesca, Brenda, Eadaion, Emma, do any of you know what 'windy shaappin' is? Jude is not sure if that is a compliment or if Marguerite is taking the piss out of him.

So today was our first full 'weekend' day that we have had in Boston. It has been a busy week getting our apartment sorted. We just decided to explore a wee bit so we went for a walk all around Boston, up Beacon Street, around Boston Common, all over the place. We stumbled across the greatest wee eatery ever 'The Paramount' on Beacon Hill. Mmmuhhhh....the cinnamon and apple pancakes, omeletes and fried potatoes were just great. It certainly beat Bolognese anyday but not Marguerite's Mum's dinners, they're the best!

Anyway we are going to go to a wee pub on our street now for a pint or two, nothing too much as we are going to Mass in the morning at 9.30am to say a few wee prayers for Marguerite's granda who is very sick at home and then out to watch Utd beat West Ham at 11.30 am. Hey I'll tell ya what, if you are interested in any sport lark from back home then ya can't really be laying in bed too long in America. Today we got up about 10.00 and by the time we were showered and ready to go all the final football scores were in already and we still had the whole day to go. Its mad!

Why dont you register and let us know what you think of our blog. Is it ok? Is it crap, too many comments, too many photos etc?

Later, or as Sinead Douglas would say, smell ya later folks!

Jude and Marguerite
