Valentine's - Sat 14th Feb

So here we were on Valentine's Day heading out to Nashoba Valley Ski resort in Massachusetts. We got the train from Boston (30 mins) and were picked up by a doll who kind off resembled her out off the film Misery (you know the doll I'm talking about - mad woman and all that). Anyway the smiles were soon whiped of the faces of Marguerite, Ryan (spot the dirty Jersey there below the auld fleece) and Lisa Marie when the 'Misery' doll left us off at the Ski Slopes instead of the 'Tubing' slopes. So we set off on a wee dander for about a mile and eventually arrived at the 'Tubing' park at Nashoba Valley. Anyone interested should book a flight, catch a train and book into this here wee B&B below, as it was right at the entrance to the Ski Slopes.

So after our wee dander it was down to business. We were all given our rubber rings and set off up the mountain. Marguerite and Lisa Marie were going to pull Ryan all the way up the mountain until they realised that you just attached to a pully thingymagergal and it pulled you all the way up.

Check out Marguerite in her Ski gear and Jude in his regular clothes. Marguerite was taken no chances and had forgotten (deliberately I might add) to call to her friend Niamh's to collect Jude's gear. Anyway Jude survived, just about mind you as it was touch and go when the sun started to go down!

Here is Marguerite getting dragged up the mountain. Then this was Marguerite standing atop the mountain saying to Jude, 'Look her, if you think I'm going down there on thon thing you even madder than I thought wee lad'.

But then Jude shouted, 'Look Up', and as Marguerite did so he gave her a gentle push into the auld ringy thingy and sent her on her way never to be seen or heard off again.


Ahhhhhhhhhh!

Ahhhhhhh....just wait till I get my hands on you Jude!

As you can see from the pic below Marguerite's fear soon turned into joy as she fell in love with the auld 'Tubing' business and it was soon smiles all round.

And here we were at the end of the day, happily with no broken limbs and just about ready for a warm tea or cold beer.
