Toronto - Canada

Marguerite and Jude stayed in the wonderful city of Toronto for 4 days. The hotel chosen was Residence Inn by Marriott and it just happened to be just around the corner from this cool scene. It is of course a pic of the CN Tower (at night).

Fionn McCool's in Toronto was a grand wee spot indeed. It was situated just behind the hotel. Here Marguerite samples the cocktails while Jude goes for the local Canadian beer Labatt Blue. Cool pose, wha?

This pic was taken in the lobby of the CN Tower.

The CN Tower has two viewing galleries providing the most stunning views. The lowest of the two galleries is at 114 stories and the highest 30 stories further up! That gallery is the highest viewing gallery in the world. Needless to say, before long things started to get scary up there.

Here is Jude looking out over Lake Ontario from the lower of the two viewing galleries. Jude may look cool here folks but don't let the smile fool you, he most certainly was not cool. In fact by now he started overheating and coming on all dizzy and all.

Check out these views. The pics were taken through the glass floor viewing gallery in the CN Tower. Mad, bonkers, funny, frightening, sickening, scary, exciting and unforgettable - that's the glass floor viewing gallery.

Here is Marguerite is standing on the 2 1/2 inches of glass with nothing else below only air. Wha?

Now she's ripping the arse clean out of it by laying down on it!!!!!

In this pic even Marguerite looks worried - you can see the drop below...eh well you can't see too much because the ground is so far away!!!!!!

3 hours later and Jude finally beats his fears and manages to get onto the floor. No sooner is he on the floor than he is rolling about it like some sort of rare bit and as if he's been there all day.

Up on the world's highest viewing gallery and Jude can't even bring himself to the edge to look. He's panicking!!!!

It's all smiles when facing away from the windys.

Back on solid ground and after a wee walking tour of Toronto, Marguerite and Jude stumble across Grace O'Malley's Irish Pub in Toronto. Here a conversation was struck up with Natasha from Cookstown who was working in the bar. On this trip there has been no shortage of wee occurances like this meeting folk from home. Indeed the sound of an Irish accent always catches the attention and leads to an auld yarn or two.
