Before you could say 'hohoho' Marguerite and Jude had landed back in Ireland for Christmas. This was a flying visit with lots of lunches here, dinners there and hangovers pretty much everywhere. These pics are from Christmas Day itself which was spent at 56 brooke Drive. Riona's smile does a great job at disguising the fact that she had the 'blues'.
Santa's little helper Grace is also all smiles as she opens the world's biggest Christmas present.
Spot the melters in this pic. 'Aye, give uz another one of those Baileys in there Michael', demands Paula. Meanwhile Emma and Jude patiently await the judges deciding who has won this year's 'longest scarf' contest.
The camera never lies and here it's telling us that Emma wanted a bigger present than that, ya can just tell can't ya like. Oh and check out Mary's Christmas tree hat there folks, cool, wha?
'A hand bag...............now that's just what I needed', exclaims Marguerite. A fella would begin to get annoyed if he got 87 footballs or bottles of aftershave, but Marguerite and 87 handbags.......never! She loves them!
Somethings are better arriving late than never folks, ok, that's just the way it is. (Check out Michael's smirk there, what's he up to?) Think about it though, this applies to many things. Like how it took Ireland 60 odd years to finally win the Grand Slam at Rugby................
.....or like how it took the Boston Red Sox 86 years to finally win the World Series..........
......or even like how it Director Stephen Spielberg 20 odd years to win an Oscar.
Well after 34 years it certainly was a case of 'better late than never' as Michael Snr finally splashed out and bought Marguerite Snr an engagement ring. Here Marguerite Snr holds up her hand to show off the ring. I know what you're thinking here, you can't really see it well sack the photographer, that's what I say, I mean wouldn't a close-up pic have been much better, wha?
Little Red Riding Hood Grace thinks it funny that Granda and Granny have just got engaged.
Fra never shifted from thon chair all night. Here he is asking someone, anyone at all, anyone who'll listen in fact, if they would get him another drink. He was also a late entry into the 'longest scarf' contest.
