If you're ever up in this neck of the woods you could visit here and sample their class mussels and their Lobster sandwich. Yum yum.
After the meal Marguerite wanted to sit and watch the view but hey we didn't go all the way to Portland to sit and watch the boats floating in the bay - we had a tour to get on.
Here are Marguerite and Jude about to embark on the grand trolley tour of Portland. There was a time when Jude and Marguerite would have felt wick getting on one of these trolley bus thingys but not now, bring it on, the wackier the better! The trolley driver for this tour was quite literally 'off his trolley'.
Talk about tight gits - here is the pic taken by the tour operators before the Portland tour began. Now you are meant to buy these pics, but why do that when Jude has his camera to snap a pic of the pic when the tour fella was trying to sell it (it worked in Chicago so now it works everywhere). Some folk have no shame whatsoever!!! Nice pic though, wha?
The fall of the Berlin wall marked a time of huge change in the world in the late 1980's. A piece of the wall is perfectly preserved here in Portland.
Weh, weh, weh,...................windylickers.
Isn't this a lovely photo of Marguerite, wha?
Portland is famous for many things but it's lighthouse is it's most recognized sight. Pretty nice it was too.
The sign says, 'Please keep off the Grass'......not 'Feel free to trample all over the joint and wreck the grass which we have been perfectly manicuring for years'. Edjits!!!
Weh, weh, weh.........whatcha lookin at there doll? Must sort out that stutter folks.
Marguerite goes for a wee dander around the lighthouse in an attempt to lose Jude but he is there as usual lurking with the camera.
Chillin out!
Lindsay and Marguerite have a laugh at Jude who's still going on about them needing to get off the grass. Melter!
Talking of melters check out these super sized ice creams which are dripping like mad as they melt all over the joint. It's the end of the day trip to Portland Maine and after working hard all week, training all week on the tennis court and coping with all life has to throw at ya - well there is no better way of chilling out than with a great big world record sized poke. Hehehehehe!!
