Jude's birthday

Today was Jude's birthday and as per birthday rules in the Clarke household that meant a nice big cake for Jude. 

Truth be told Ben get more excited about this than anyone else, here he is all smiles as he helps Marguerite bring it over to the table.

When Jude was around 7 he began supporting Manchester United.  At that time one of the stars of the Utd team was Sammy McIlroy and he was like a complete legend to Jude and any other young Man Utd fan at the time.  They say you should never meet your heroes (in case you are disappointed) but that could not be said about Sammy, a total gentleman he was.  Here is Jude meeting Sammy in Belfast when out celebrating his birthday. 

Moments later Marguerite and Jude were in the Mourne Seafood Restaurant having a lovely meal and some drinks. 

Jude spent the next half hour nattering on about Sammy McIlroy this and Sammy McIlroy that.  Marguerite let him ramble on as it was his birthday after all!!

After their meal Jude and Marguerite went into Kelly's Cellars where they met Paul and Trisha who had surprised Jude by turning up.  Here is Jude with Trisha.
