The new 'locals' - Tasca and Harry's

Since moving to Brookline, Marguerite and Jude have sought out new places to socialize. It took a few months to properly settle in of course, but gradually they figured where's hot and where's not. Well this is Tasca, it's a Spanish Tapas restaurant and very European in style. Yes you'd think that it would be obvious to be 'European', but it's not. Authentic places such as this are hard to find. You've Spanish restaurants as Spanish as Budweiser, or Irish Bars as Irish as French fries. Tasca is as Mediterranian as you could hope for and is quite possibly their favourite restaurant. Here is Marguerite standing outside the entrance.

Oh yeah.........recently Marguerite has found the beauty of red wine. It took a while of supping that vinegary white stuff to figure it out, but she eventually made it, she got there, she caught on, and well........well it's all red from now on!!!!

What's he so happy about? Well that's because that's an olive he has parked there in his hand.....yum, yum!!

Tasca's is a really nice spot........and anyone who will be arriving in Boston soon for a visit can expect a wee trip here.

After a visit to Tasca Marguerite and Jude make their way to their new local 'Harry's'. 'Harry's' is parked at the end of Winchester Street and is very handy indeed. Here Marguerite is all smiles because she has been given this free diesel here as there is some daft promotion going on.

So it was free swally..........

.......and unbelievably......these sun glasses were free too. It's dark in Harry's tonight, but hey don't let that get in the way of a cool pic. Wha?

On another night in Tasca Marguerite is sampling their tasty Sangria........

......before hitting 'Harry's' again for a game of pool.

Now this is Jude's bag here, he loves a good game of pool he does. It takes him back to his days at the Ballygalget Crow's Nest where he used to virtually live in his mate Denis' snooker shed.

Jude can play a bit too, he's not the best mind but he can definitely play and tonight he and his team mate Marguerite cleaned up on 'winner-stays-on' doubles competition. After taking on lots of locals they managed to stay on for ages and only lost a couple of games all night!!!

Marguerite was on top form tonight too, I mean top form folks!! Sure at one point Jude went to the bogs while Marguerite and he still had 4 stripes and the black to go......but when Jude came walking out of the bogs Marguerite and some doll Brenda were jumping up and down in fits of joy as Marguerite had just cleared the table and stuffed two American fellas!!! She's good.......I'm telling ye, she's good.

Earlier when Marguerite and Jude were playing singles Marguerite tried and tried and tried and tried and tried again to beat Jude. She kept trying and trying all night.

But Jude would not lay down and roll over, he battled away all day and made Marguerite fight to the last, she must have went through a bag load of quarters (25 cent coins folks) until ..........

.....eventually (and amazingly) she whopped him good and proper......yeeee haaaa!

......and smiled all the way home.

Here - how will I ever live this one down? Wha?

I lost to Marguerite tonight. She's a girl like ..........here if the lads at home find out about this I'll get slagged goodo, let's just hope they don't find out about it then.

Hey.....come to Boston for a visit and these two will take you to Tasca and 'Harry's'.

Wha?
